Peter is responsible for ensuring Gateway Communications remains the leading pan African provider of high quality and affordable communications infrastructure and services. He is driving the company forward with more than 20 years’ experience in the communications and technology markets, and a broad knowledge of Africa's regulatory, economic and business environment.

Peter has worked extensively in Africa with a wide-ranging background in management, systems engineering and business development. Before establishing Gateway Communications he held a number of senior executive roles with Citigroup, BT, BT North America and NetSource Communications. As a PADI qualified scuba diver based in London, Peter loves travelling, especially around Africa.

With 20 years of satellite communications engineering experience at Cable & Wireless, Chris is a recognised expert in this field.

He has worked extensively in diverse international locations including six years at the European Space Agency, two years in the Caribbean Anguilla as a Country Head covering wireline networks, switching, mobile, Internet and undersea fibre. After working in Nigeria he joined Link Africa in Belgium as Technical Director prior to Gateway acquiring the company.

Chris, a self-described "modern-day nomad", has been appointed Group CTO based in the London office and easily relates to the challenges and opportunities faced by our customers.

Steve co-founded West Africa's first VSAT business 14 years ago and was the CEO of GS Telecom, recently acquired by Gateway.

He is a Canadian engineering graduate of Queen’s University with a strong background in engineering, business development and marketing having spent 15 years with the oil field services giant Schlumberger working in Europe and Africa.

Steve is based in Lagos and has spent the last 20 years working in Africa. An avid sailor, when he's not traveling the world to compete in Hobie Cat races, he’ll be found every Saturday at the Lagos Yacht Club, sailing with his family.

Paul joined the Gateway team in August 2006. With over 16 years of international voice, data networking and telecommunications experience, primarily in the service provider sector, Paul has a deep customer understanding and local knowledge which is respected across the industry.

Previously, Paul was the Sales Director at AT&T for EMEA and responsible for the Wholesale Data portfolio.

Currently based in Switzerland, Paul was born, raised and educated in Zimbabwe, to which he attributes his continued passion for Africa. In his spare time Paul enjoys traveling, cycling and community service as a member of the local fire brigade.

Mark joined the Gateway team in October 2005. A Chartered Accountant since 1997, Mark served 8 years with Arthur Andersen's Business Assurance Division, gaining financial management experience based in both London and California.

Before joining the Gateway as the Senior Finance Manager, his commercial knowledge was bolstered by a move to Anglo American to work on projects including system integration and IFRS implementation.

Mark is based in our London office. Mark enjoys traveling around Africa for work and in his spare time he plays tennis and sails with friends off of England's south coast.
